PROJECT 02 / INTERNAL SUPPORT SOFTWARE
CALL FRIEND
A working recreation of an internal support application that became part of the daily workflow for hundreds of technical support agents.
01 / OVERVIEW
An internal tool that became infrastructure.
Call Friend began as a support utility I built while working in technical support. It organized troubleshooting information and gave agents a faster way to move through common technical and billing workflows.
The original application grew beyond a small team tool and became part of the daily support process for more than 500 agents over roughly four years.
02 / WHAT IT DOES
Support knowledge built around the job.
- Separate technical and billing support workflows.
- Structured troubleshooting and reference content.
- Quick calculators and utilities for common agent tasks.
- Notes and workflow information designed for fast call handling.
- A searchable, centralized replacement for scattered process knowledge.
03 / TECHNOLOGY
Recreated with the original spirit intact.
The portfolio demo is a ground-up recreation rather than a copy of proprietary production code or data. It demonstrates the same type of internal support experience using a simple, durable web stack.
04 / WHY IT MATTERS
Build for the people doing the work.
Call Friend is an early example of a pattern that has followed me throughout my career: find a repetitive operational problem, understand how people actually work, and build a tool that makes the process faster and easier to support.
